Priority Openings

These are our immediate hiring priorities. We are looking for people who want to understand the entire case, contribute ideas and take responsibility for carrying the work through to completion.

NOW HIRING

Litigation Attorney

This position is for lawyers who are ruthlessly competitive about the result, not with the people working beside them. You need to win, but you also want colleagues who will challenge an argument, find the fact you missed and help build a better approach.

Our attorneys work across plaintiff, defense and appellate matters involving commercial disputes, employment claims, ownership conflicts, real estate, trusts and estates, civil rights and other contested matters. You will not be limited to one isolated task or one narrow practice area. You will be expected to understand the record, develop arguments and help determine how the case should move.

We are a boutique, family oriented firm. We work closely, speak directly and care about the result. We want lawyers who compete hard against the problem and the adversary without bringing competition, ego or unnecessary friction into the office.

NOW HIRING

Litigation Operations Paralegal

This position is for someone who wants to know the whole case, not simply complete a filing and move to the next assignment. You should want to understand what happened, what the attorneys are trying to accomplish, what remains open and what must happen next.

The work includes deadlines, digital case files, filings, discovery, client communication, court and vendor coordination, document organization and hearing and trial preparation. The right person enjoys rules and procedure, thinks several steps ahead and takes satisfaction in turning an attorney’s plan into completed action.

This is a career opportunity for a paralegal who wants broad exposure to litigation and a path into case coordination, litigation operations and management.

We Are Building at Every Level

Lieb at Law is growing beyond our two priority openings. We are building a boutique litigation firm with the reach, technology and case capabilities of a large firm, while giving each person a real role in the entire case.

We do not want attorneys limited to one narrow assignment, paralegals who never learn why the filing matters or business professionals separated from the legal work they are helping move. We want complex thinkers who are curious about the case, understand how their work affects the result and want to help carry the strategy forward.

If you have worked on substantial disputes, can solve difficult problems and want your ideas and work to matter to the direction of a case, we want to hear from you.

Additional and Future Opportunities

As the firm expands, we are interested in meeting people who could strengthen our litigation, case management and business compliance teams.

  • Senior Litigation Attorneys
  • Litigation Associates
  • Appellate Attorneys
  • Commercial and Employment Litigators
  • Trust and Estate Litigators with transferable contested-matter experience
  • Litigation Paralegals
  • Litigation Operations Professionals
  • Legal Assistants
  • Law Clerks and Interns
  • Business Compliance Professionals
  • Legal Technology and Workflow Professionals

If the way we practice sounds like the way you think, contact careers@liebatlaw.com even if your exact position is not listed above.

Different Matters. The Same Litigation Discipline.

We hire based on litigation skill, judgment and the ability to learn, not because someone has spent an entire career in one practice area. The subject changes. The essential work does not. Learn the facts, find the governing law, understand what the client needs and determine what must happen next.

Candidates who have worked on disputes involving millions of dollars, extensive records, contested ownership, business control, executive compensation, fiduciary duties or significant operational consequences may find their experience transfers across several parts of our practice.

Napkin Litigation

Disputes are business conflicts where the functional reality does not match the formal documentation.

Who Belongs Here

The people who fit here are curious about the entire case. They want to understand why the assignment matters, what the other side may do and how their work changes the next decision.

You Want the Whole Case

You do not want to spend your career repeating one narrow task without seeing how the pieces connect.

You Find What Others Miss

You notice the inconsistent date, overlooked document, weak assumption or procedural problem that changes the analysis.

You Finish the Work

You take an assignment from idea to completed deliverable and keep track of anything that remains open.

You Learn New Areas

You can bring litigation skills from one practice area into a different type of dispute.

You Use Technology Well

You are comfortable with digital files, cloud-based workflows and AI tools, but you verify the information and remain responsible for the result.

You Work Well With Other People

You can be direct about the work, accept feedback and remain considerate of the people working beside you.

Working on the Same Case at the Same Time

Our attorneys, paralegals and business compliance professionals work from shared cloud-based files, calendars, trackers and workflows. When a document is added, a deadline changes or an assignment is completed, the case team should be able to see it.

Current Case Information

The people responsible for a matter can see what happened, what remains open and who is handling the next step.

AI-Assisted Review

We use approved AI tools to synthesize large files, organize communications, build timelines and identify missing information. The team verifies the output against the source material.

From Decision to Action

Once the attorneys decide what the case requires, the team coordinates the filing, deadline, discovery, hearing preparation or client communication needed to carry it out.

A Day in the Life

The work changes with the matters. A single day may involve legal research, a filing, a new court order, a client question, discovery problems and preparation for an upcoming hearing.

Attorney

Analyze a disputed ownership record, research the governing rule, draft the argument and review the likely response with another attorney.

Paralegal

Update the case file and deadlines, assemble the exhibits, coordinate filing and service and document what remains open.

Business Compliance

Review the workflow, identify missing case data, improve the tracker or automation and make the current information visible to the team.

Case Team

Prepare for a deposition, hearing, arbitration or filing with everyone working from the same documents, dates and plan.

We Teach the Work We Do

Our attorneys teach continuing legal education programs for national providers and publish in legal journals and professional publications. Teaching and writing are extensions of the practice. They require an attorney to know the law, explain it clearly and defend the analysis.

  • National CLE instruction
  • Legal journal and professional publication opportunities
  • Support for attorneys developing a subject-matter focus
  • Opportunities tied to the attorney’s actual practice and interests

Attorneys who develop command of a subject may have opportunities to teach, publish and become recognized for that work.
