Austin Smith is a Sr. Attorney at Lieb at Law, P.C., where he focuses on complex litigation in federal and state courts. His practice involves high-stakes disputes where outcomes turn on strategic motion practice, disciplined discovery, and building a record that can withstand appellate scrutiny. Austin approaches litigation as a strategic contest, identifying leverage early and advancing cases toward decisive results.

Before joining Lieb at Law, Austin was the founding partner of Smith Law Group LLP, where he spent ten years prosecuting nationwide class action lawsuits and litigating complex matters across federal and state courts throughout the country. His work included developing litigation strategy, coordinating multi-party discovery, briefing dispositive motions, and advancing cases through certification battles, and trial preparation.

Earlier in his career, Austin served as a budget director for Senator John McCain, working on national fundraising and financial operations, and previously wrote for The Onion.

He currently serves on the advisory board of Upsolve Inc., a nonprofit that provides free bankruptcy assistance to low-income individuals seeking financial relief.
