Ethical (DOS / RE Board) Complaints

The Broker of Record is responsible for the wrongs of its salespersons and associate brokers. It’s imperative that the Broker of Record is immediately notified if an agent learns of or anticipates that a complaint will be brought against them. Both your local Board and the Department of State may bring an ethics complaint, but only the Department of State controls licensing. Lieb Attorneys will help you keep your license and avoid fines.

General Counsel

For small brokerage firms that do not have in-house legal counsel, Lieb offers general legal advice, counsel and retainers on a month-to-month basis to facilitate compliance and growth strategies.

Litigation Counsel

Representing brokerage houses in their dealings with the NYS Court System. Lieb is a litigation-focused firm that zealously advocates for judicial enforcement of contractual, statutory and regulatory rights on behalf of its real estate brokers and their salespersons. Lieb serves as both the sword of the brokerage industry in prosecuting judicial, administrative and arbitration claims and the shield for brokers in defending lawsuits brought against them.
